Is Obama more like the Pied Piper of Hamelin or the Sirens from Greek mythology ?
The Pied Piper of Hamelin was a musician who rid Hamelin of its rats by leading them with his mesmerizing songs played on his pipe, and leading them to the river where they drowned. In revenge for his not being paid, he piped the village children to a mountain where they disappeared.
Sirens of Greek mythology: Any of several sea nymphs, represented as part bird and part human who lure sailors to their death on rocky coasts by seductive singing.
The Pied Piper of Hamelin is Obama.
The rats are the blind voters and the children are the young people who do not know any better.
We need to head him off at the mountain pass.
