Another question about my ball python..?
Our ball python, Jax, is having trouble shedding which isn't normal for him. I soaked him in some water and shed ease and he got all of the skin off except for the skin on his head and eyes. I posted a question on here about this already and someone suggest that I spray some water in the tank and put a wet towel on the top of the tank, to help with the humidity. I did that, but I was wondering if it would be okay to mix some shed ease and some water in a spray bottle and spray a bit of it on his head? Once I soaked him in the shed ease all of his skin came off pretty much right away, but because he doesn't soak his head, it didn't help with that. The stuff I have is ESU Reptile Shed Ease and they are supposed to soak in it for 20 minutes, but I figured if I can just get some on his head it's better than nothing. It doesn't say that you can't do something like that and I'm assuming if they are supposed to soak in it, it's okay for them to get it on their eyes. What do you think??
Their eyes aren't like ours. They have a scale over their eyes which protect them. He'll be fine. Just make sure the old skin comes off of the eye.
